CILIRD Global Politics Essay Writing Competition 2026 - PHASE 1 is now LIVE! Register by 18th April 2026. CILIRD is pleased to host young voices as part of its the Global Politics Essay Writing Competition 2026. Please note that this is the registration form and that complete details such as the full list of sub-themes, word-limit, format etc. will be sent to you after you register through this form. Open Discussion (Undergraduate Student Form)

EVENT CONCEPT: A monthly student-led open discussion series organized by CILIRD with the thematic focus of "International Politics At a Glance" where undergraduate students from colleges all over India get together to talk, rant and discuss about all the major international news that we witness each month. Organized every month, this space gives you chance to speak about events that baffled, enraged or intrigued you along with a community of peers equally lost and curious while trying to make sense of the world we live in. EVENT DETAILS: Join us for the first session of this series on 31st January, 2026 - 4PM IST. This form is only for undergraduate students. If you are a high-school student, please choose the high-school students form on our website to register for the event. A different session has been organized for you. Additionally, there is no registration or participation fee for our open discussions. However, we do have a selection process to ensure meaningful discussions. The selection process include 2 rounds: 1) Google Form - We evaluate the answers you submit through the form on our website. Thereafter, we send out invites to students with the most genuine and authentic answers for an interview round. 2) Interview Round PERKS: All attendees will be receiving E-certificates of Participation. Attending 4 of our Open Discussions till July gets a waive off on the registration fee for our flagship event Mandala 2.0 scheduled in August 2026. What We're Looking For in our Selection Process: We are not looking for polished or knowledgeable answers. We are looking for people who engage with the field, stumble upon questions and want more perspective. We are looking for people who read all of this news and have a lot to rant about. People who are looking for a community where people can share how baffled this space leaves them. If this feels like your vibe, we'd love to meet you. ABOUT CILIRD: CILIRD is a community of students who are either curious about the field of International Law and Relations and want to figure it out alongside other students or are aware about the fundamentals of the field but are seeking opportunities to engage with it. If you resonate with either of these, you'll fit right in!

New Year's Roundtable, 2026

The Roundtable blends reflection, dialogue, and hands-on activities with an interactive session with a youth leader on the second day, featuring guidance, discussion, and participant-driven Q&A to help participants shape their journey in the world of IR for 2026.

Mandala 1.0 - Foreign Policy Simulation

Mandala 1.0 - A Foreign Policy Drafting Competition, organized by the Centre for International Law, International Relations and Diplomacy, aims to provide students an experience of how real world crisis are tackled by diplomatic offices which act swiftly to address the problem, balancing their national interests and priorities with geopolitical realities and the larger global goals of peace and security. The Competition will span over 3 days and will consist of 2 Rounds. Schedule: Day 1 - Release of Assigned Country Portfolios Day 2 - Release of Geopolitical Crisis Background Guide & Round 1 commences as teams draft their country's foreign policy in response to the impending world crisis called the White Paper. Day 3 - Round 2 commences - Teams that qualified for Round 2 will now present their policies in front of the Panel of Judges. The Judges will ask questions and critically evaluate the presented policies. Thereafter, other qualified teams will ask questions. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. The Top 3 Teams will receive a Certificate of Merit. The Foreign Policies of Top 5 Teams will be published on our website. The participant with the best presentation will receive the Best Presenter Award.
